Earn more: Holiday poll results

From parties to presents, the holiday season is full of expenses. In fact, the average holiday gift-giver spends nearly $700 on holiday-related shopping, according to the National Retail Federation’s 2010 Holiday Consumer Intentions and Action Survey.

We were curious to see how consumers are keeping their finances in the black while paying for the extra costs of the holidays. While some people find ways to save money and carefully budget for variable expenses (like those that happen during the holiday season), others actually find ways to earn more money.

We posed a question on our site asking consumers how they increased their incomes during the holiday season; following are the results of the poll:
