MMI changed my life for the better

After 16 years, 10 months, and 2 days, I am leaving my position as community and media relations manager for Money Management International (MMI).  The decision was not an easy one because I have truly loved my job.  In fact, I can honestly say that being part of the MMI community has changed my life for the better.

Kim McGriggBecause of MMI, I am:

-Financially educated.  It’s one thing to understand the logistics of how to manage money and another to understand the reasons why people make the choices that they do.   Through conversations with thousands of consumers, I have learned valuable lessons about all aspects of money management.

-Part of something bigger.   What the team members at MMI accomplish is far greater than the sum of the tasks they perform. This is not your average job. Focusing on the big picture, MMI employees see that they have a purpose. No matter their role, each employee offers a unique skill and talent that supports MMI’s mission of improving lives through financial education.

-Connected.  Countless organizations and individuals support MMI’s mission.  In addition to partnerships with businesses and nonprofit organizations, I have been honored to work with a wonderful group of bloggers, authors, clients, consumers, and journalists.

-Prepared for the future.  I have worked alongside dedicated and talented people, and have had so many opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.   Just this year, I wrote a book titled Improve Your Finances, Improve Your Life and had the opportunity to speak at the Financial Blogger Conference!

I may not be an official MMI employee anymore, but this certainly isn’t goodbye!  I wholeheartedly believe in MMI’s mission and I will always be an active member of the MMI community.  I invite you to join me by reading Blogging for Change, participating in the MMI Forum, and following MMI on Twitter and Facebook

Hope to see you there!
