Halloween provides an opportunity to look outrageous. And while it may be fun to go incognito, it is important not to lose your head. After all, with an average wig costing $20, Halloween expenses can quickly become unsettling. However, frugal families know that you don’t have to spend a lot to look great on Halloween.

If your child’s costume cost less than $20 total, enter it into our Frugal Kids’ Costume Contest for a chance to win some great prizes—including a $250 gift certificate to Amazon.com. Entering the contest is simple: Just visit Money Management International’s Facebook page now through November 14 and submit your photo entry online.

All photos must be related to kids’ (under the age of 14) frugal Halloween costumes. Most importantly, all costumes must have a total cost of $20 or less. Winners will be selected based upon the number of votes cast for each eligible photo, so tell your friends!

If you don’t have a frightfully frugal costume to enter, stop by the site for inspiration and while you’re there, don’t forget to vote for your favorite costume.

Would you believe that Halloween is considered one of the most costly holidays and costumes generally consume the biggest part of Halloween budgets? I can’t wait to see how your frugal family is fighting those frightfully high prices.

Good Luck and Happy Halloween!
