When asked what you do for a living, there are two ways to go: small-picture or big-picture.
Focusing on the small picture is to think about the everyday tasks you perform. For example, the team members at MMI perform a lot of tasks—they answer phones, enter data, write reports, and attend meetings. However, MMI employees don’t think that way; MMI is not a small-picture kind of place.
What the team members at MMI accomplish is far greater than the sum of the tasks they perform. This is not your average job. Focusing on the big picture, MMI employees see that they have a purpose.
