On this historic day, I am compelled to jump on the bandwagon and talk about change—lasting financial change. Contrary to popular belief, the first step to improving your financial situation is not to run out and buy software and create spreadsheets. However frustrating it might be to left-brained thinkers, money management is not one-size-fits-all. For most people, those numbers have meaning. Few subjects are as emotionally-charged as the subject of finances.
To truly improve your financial situation, you need to start by examining your attitudes about money. Are you ready to accept responsibility for changing your financial situation? Do you believe that you can and will change the way you make financial decisions? Can you identify at least one benefit you hope to gain by changing your money management behavior?
If you are ready, willing, and able to start your path to financial wellness jump on the change bandwagon and take the pledge!
