David Jones has been appointed to the newly-created role of Chief Information Officer at AEG’s recently formed Global Technology division.
In his expanded role, Jones will be responsible for the company’s technology strategy and solutions across the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.
AEG says its Global Technology division aims to use data and customer-facing technologies to drive revenue across the business and provide best-in-class customer experiences.
Formerly Chief Information Officer for AEG Europe, Jones will now take responsibility for implementing technology solutions for the company’s annual events.
Furthermore, Jones will oversee the company’s information security and privacy teams, it says, and will work alongside the technology teams at AEG venues such as The O2 and LA’s Crypto.com Arena.
He will also partner with company subsidiaries AEG Presents [53 articles]” href=”https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/companies/aeg-presents/”>AEG Presents, AEG Sports and AXS [19 articles]” href=”https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/companies/aeg-presents/axs/”>AXS to deliver expertise, services, and support globally.
Jones is currently the executive sponsor of AEG Europe’s PRIDE Employee Network Group, which aims to drive change within the company and foster company-wide inclusion.
