Tuesday night, I worked on a post lamenting about the fact that there are more weight loss reality shows (NBC’s The Biggest Loser, Discovery Health’s X-Weighted, and Oxygen’s new Dance Your @** Off) than there are debt reduction shows. In fact, the only money management reality show I know of is A&E’s Big Spender where host Larry Winget confronts people with spending and shopping problems. I eventually couched my half-baked thoughts to find out what Jeff Lewis was up to on the new episode of Flipping Out.
Today, I learned that house flipper Jeff Lewis and personal finance pit bull Larry Winget were both guests on Wednesday night’s Larry King Live episode about foreclosure.
As if that weren’t enough of a coincidence, Jeff repeatedly referred troubled homeowners to the HOPE Hotline (1-888-995-HOPE). Well, guess what? My organization has been selected by the Homeownership Preservation Foundation (HPF), the national nonprofit counseling organization that operates the 888-995-HOPE Hotline, to provide foreclosure counseling services to homeowners. It’s a small, small world.
If you saw Wednesday’s episode of Larry King Live, share your thoughts about Jeff and Larry’s appearance through the comments section.
