PIXELYNX, <\/a>the gaming and music metaverse company co-founded by deadmau5 and Richie Hawtin, has appointed Kimberly Knoller to the role of Chief Marketing Officer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In her new role, Knoller will oversee all marketing strategy and execution for PIXELYNX and its first game, ELYNXIR, which is expected to be launched later this year.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Knoller acted as CMO of SongVest<\/a>, an SEC REGA+ qualified music royalty platform that lets fans invest in music.<\/span><\/p>\n

Knoller previously worked at The Knoller Group (TKG) which she founded in 2010. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Knoller Group is a marketing and services agency that works with artists, gamers, influencers, and other individuals within the entertainment industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to her role at TKG, Knoller held positions at Chrysalis Records [125 articles]” href=”https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/companies\/reservoir\/chrysalis-records\/”>Chrysalis<\/a> Music Group, Warner Records [320 articles]” href=”https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/companies\/access-industries\/warner-music-group\/warner-records\/”>Warner Records<\/a>, Musictoday, and Sony Music Entertainment [1,199 articles]” href=”https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/companies\/sony\/sony-music-group\/sony-music-entertainment\/”>Sony Music Entertainment<\/a>, among others. <\/span><\/p>\n

PIXELYNX was founded by Richie Hawtin, Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5, along with music and gaming industry veterans Ben Turner, Dean Wilson and Inder Phull.<\/p>\n

In December 2021, PIXELYNX announced it had raised $4.5 million dollars<\/a> in seed investment to build their music\/gaming metaverse. <\/span><\/p>\n

At the time, the company announced that its focus is building \u201ca new virtual world ecosystem that makes it easy for music artists to launch their own interactive environment\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

PIXELYNX\u2019s funding round was led by <\/span>Animoca Brands<\/a>, a company dedicated to<\/span> developing \u201cdigital property rights via NFTs and gaming to help build the open metaverse\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other investors in PIXELYNX include Solana Ventures, Alameda Research, and Hyperedge Capital, amongst others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Developers<\/span> working on the PIXELYNX metaverse project include gaming industry veterans who previously worked at Activision, EA Sports, Epic Games [62 articles]” href=”https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/companies\/epic-games\/”>Epic Games<\/a>, Ubisoft, and Microsoft. <\/span><\/p>\n
