Over the years, consumers like you have taught me a lot about money and the power it holds. Through tens of thousands of letters written to me through the Advice Team, I have unfortunately become used to seeing words such as disaster, hopeless, and frustrated.
The good news is that the collective “you” already have—or have access to—everything you need to achieve or maintain financial success. Remember, you do not have to be rich to be successful. Being financially successful means doing the best you can with what you have and being satisfied. To that end, the overall goal of this blog is to help you develop a good relationship with your money.
The title Blogging For Change explains exactly what you can expect on a day-to-day basis: ideas and information to help you make positive changes. I will cover a huge variety of topics ranging from the very serious (avoiding foreclosure) to the very silly (regifting rules). I will also invite other voices from the financial world to share their thoughts through this blog.
I look forward to reading your comments and encourage you to take advantage of our feeds and social bookmarking features to keep up to date and spread the word. I will also be using twitter to communicate on a more micro-level. Please remember that the information in this blog is not to be mistaken for legal, tax, or investment advice; it is provided to help you make your own informed decisions.
Welcome! I am excited to begin our hunt for change.
