Epson just announced the new series of its WorkForce wide-format printer line to address the needs of small businesses, architects, creative professionals and engineers.
The company says the new series will deliver print-shop-quality color graphics, high-volume and borderless prints up to 13”x19”. The printers will also come with essential features for today’s connected office and environmentally conscious businesses.
It is no secret businesses across the board are using less paper, but it is still a necessary part of the day-to-day operations of companies. For small businesses, which includes architectural and engineering firms as well as creative professionals, a powerful all-in-one printer is instrumental.
In addressing what this segment requires, Nils Madden, marketing director of desktop imaging and printing, Epson America, said in the press release, “The needs of small businesses are constantly changing. Professionals require a reliable, flexible printing solution that delivers print-shop quality at the high-volumes demanded today.”
New Epson Workforce Wide Format Printers
The WorkForce WF-7210, WF-7710 and WF-7720 are going to be powered with Epson’s PrecisionCore to deliver what it calls “Performance Beyond Laser.” And the printers accomplish this while using up to 80 percent less power vs. color laser printers, according to the company.
When it comes to speed, they can print 18 ISO page per minute (ppm) for black and 10 ISO ppm for color.
Another key feature is remote functionality. All three printers provide wireless printing and networking by using mobile Android and iOS devices such as smartphones and tablets. The can also be operated using WiFi Direct, Ethernet, and NFC.
Some of the other key features of the new printers are:
Pricing and Availability
All of the printers are now available through the Epson store along with computer, office and electronic superstores across the country. The price starts at $199.99 for the WF-7210; $249.99 for the WF-7710; and $299.99 for the WF-7720. These are all the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP).
