The deal is described in press materials as a multi-album global partnership with the company.

Variety reports that the agreement with BMG is a licensing deal with marketing and distribution.

Logic was previously signed to Def Jam.

In 2022, after proclaiming his retirement in 2020 before returning in 2021, he released recently released Vinyl Days, his final studio album with the Universal-owned label.

Logic (Sir Robert Bryson Hall II or, Bobby Hall) emerged in 2010 and has since grown into a multi-Platinum and Gold selling artist with more than six billion streams to date.

Logic’s signing to BMG is his first new label deal since his debut album Under Pressure was released in 2014 through Def Jam, and marks his departure from the label.

The first new music from his planned upcoming studio album is expected imminently, says BMG.

In 2014, Logic’s full-length debut Under Pressure hit No.4 on the Billboard [880 articles]” href=”https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/companies/billboard/”>Billboard 200, before later reaching Platinum status.

A string of mixtapes followed, with Bobby Tarantino in 2016, the Billboard 200 topping Bobby Tarantino II in 2018, and YSIV also in 2018.

His fifth full-length album Confessions of a Dangerous Mind hit No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 and featured the platinum-selling Homicide [ft. Eminem].
