Mostly when I write I write first and draw later. But when I do sales graph cartoons it’s often backwards.
Take this cartoon, for example. I drew this graph and that arrow going back over the axis and pondered it for a while.
Then my wife looked over my shoulder and said “what’s going on there?” And I responded “honestly, I have no idea.”
And then I had a new graph cartoon.
